The one-Night Performance by PURE Theatre, as part of the LWV's Centennial Celebration, has SOLD OUT! Federick Douglass and Susan B Anthony

Tickets include a post-performance celebratory reception with remarks from our VIP Host, Carolyn Murray, and refreshments. PURE Theatre is located in the Cannon Street Arts Center at 134 Cannon Street, downtown Charleston. Free parking is available in the adjacent lot.

"The Agitators" tells of the enduring, yet tempestuous, friendship of Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass. Great allies? Yes. And, at times, great adversaries... They agitated the nation, they agitated each other and, in doing so, they helped shape the Constitution and the course of American history."

Join us at PURE Theatre for a special one-night performance of "The Agitators" on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 7:30 p.m to benefit the League of Women Voters of the Charleston Area.

PURE Theatre and LWVCA are partnering to reprise this inspiring play that explores the 45-year friendship between Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass. This event is part of our 2020 Centennial Celebration of the passage of the 19th Amendment and the founding of the League of Women Voters.

The following prices include all ticket fees: General Admission tickets are $50, and VIP tickets (which include reserved seating and recognition as a Centennial Supporter) are $75. Special Pay It Forward tickets are also available for purchase and will go to area college students who may not normally be able to attend.
