How Will Charleston Weather Climate Change?

As part of its "The League Connects" Series, LWVCA asks John Tecklenburg, Charleston's Mayor, "Are we ready for climate change?"

Small-Group Conversation on Climate Change with Mayor Tecklenburg

Please join us for a small-group conversation, April 8, Main Library at 68 Calhoun St, 6-8pm, with Mayor John Tecklenburg: How Will Charleston Weather Climate Change? Is the Lowcountry Prepared? Mayor Tecklenburg devoted his 2019 State of the City address to the issue of flooding, as hundreds of millions of dollars are being spent to prevent the worsening of flooding in Charleston, which is partly due to sea level rise and climate change. Of course, the economic impact of not doing anything could be much worse.

This is the final program in this year's Connects series. It is free and open to the community but seating is limited and reservations are necessary.
