League Presentations

Would you like a speaker from the League of Women Voters for your meeting?

In addition to voter registration services and public forums, the League of Women Voters of the Charleston Area is pleased to provide speakers on topics of concern to League members. These topics include:

  • Issue-based advocacy
  • Gerrymandering and redistricting reform
  • Ethics reform and campaign finance reform
  • Get out the vote (GOTV) efforts
  • Elections, voting rights
  • Public education (including funding, structure, and our School Board Project)
  • S.C. state and local government
  • Voter registration, voter registration drives
  • Civics 101
  • History of the League of Women Voters, current projects
  • Equal Rights Amendment
  • Legislative Updates

Speaking requests can be made by emailing Inquiries should contain the following information:

  • Organization to be addressed
  • Contact name, phone number, and email address
  • Topic to be discussed (see list above)
  • Date, time, and location of meeting
  • Length of presentation being requested
  • Estimated number of attendees
